An accidental search for a friend's Facebook page led me to the wrong Rahn with a positive message. When I came across his page, I was intrigued at the fact that the wrong Rahn just so happened to be a musician. I decided since I was there to click on the song that was posted on his page. The song I heard was entitled "Hold On" . The song spoke to my spirit from the moment that I heard it. I immediately reposted it on my page, did some research on the wrong Rahn and reached out to him. We originally featured the song on our show July 17, 2011 and I have been working on getting the interview since then. After a couple of missed opportunities and scheduling conflicts, the day finally arrived for me to introduce our audience to this truly inspirational talent. After my conversations, I have found Rahn Anthoni to be a miraculous, humble, sensitive, passionate father, actor, singer with a message that the world should hear and that is to take "One Step At a Time" and to "Hold On" Recently nominated for 2 NAACP Image Awards - The sky is the limit for this artist who has tapped into his life hardships to produce a message of Hope to the masses. Follow him, Friend him, Subscribe to him, but most importantly Hold on to him, for surely he is a rising star. We are now featuring his song as our closing song each week. I am glad that I found the wrong Rahn which in the end turned out to be just the Rahn we needed. Thank you Rahn Anthoni for enduring your trials to create great music. On Wednesday, we had the unique honor to be a part of the Live Interactive Tele-Forum - Occupy Wall Street A Conversation With Justin Wedes and Sandra Organizers for Occupy Wall Street in New York City which has inspired over 1,500 similar protests and occupations around the world We felt it was important to present this broadcast to our listeners to hear first hand from the NYC organizers what the issues and concerns are and what the expected outcome is from this type of action. "Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is inspiring tens of thousands of people in the US and around the world to take a stand for economic justice and for societies that serve the common good. During this Tele-Forum we will have an in-depth discussion with two of the movement's organizers about its origins, current status and future plans. Over the last 2 weeks, Tele-Forum featured speaker Justin Wedes has appeared on WNYC with Brian Lehrer, Democracy Now with Amy Goodman and many other media outlets regarding OWS. This Tele-Forum is interactive! For at least half of the call, listeners can ask questions and make comments talking directly with the speakers. Listeners with computers can also write questions the speakers can see during the call. We will even set up a Round Table with several callers at a time to discuss certain aspects of OWS. " Hear the interview below: Watch live streaming video from myeliteradiolive at livestream.com The Working Lady had an opportunity to work with former EliteRadio On-Air Personality - An Sean Fields who hosted "The Blessed Spot", in her new project entitled "Auntie". You have to see it for yourself to believe it. Enjoy. Kupcake Kouture - with Diane Mosby Thank you to Ms. Diane Mosby who stopped by DeeWorks Live! to share her Kupcakes which were quite awesome. She actually brought a dozen for us to try. Of course we couldn't eat a dozen, so we shared some with the other Elite Staff. My favorite was the coconut cupcake. Kupcake Kouture have their own unique flavor and variations of cupcakes some of which include the rootbeer cupcake, lemon sunrise, red velvet, nutella and many more. Ms. Diane's passion for cupcakes is strengthened by the support of her sister Patty who serves as her business manager. Patty is the lady behind the scenes, but trust me, she knows what's going on in front as well. Be on the lookout for the opening of their Kupcake Kouture location coming to Bayonne, NJ in August of 2011. We definitely look forward to celebrating with them as well as the possibility of coordinating our own NJ cupcake war. Thanks again for sharing your fabulous passion for cupcakes with DeeWorks Live!Check out the interview with Diane below @ 1:00:31We also had the privilege to interview author Andrea' Porter about her book, Love is All We're After Andrea' Porter was one of the first listeners who tuned into DeeWorks Live! when we first started our show. In an effort to heal herself after a failed marriage, she took the pen to paper and wrote her first novel "Love is All We're After" The characters in her book will make you laugh, cry and talk back to the book. Andrea' Porter Author/Publisher/Motivational Speaker says that writing her book actually "helped to save her soul". We were so excited because our #1 fan The1Essence got to hang out with us as well. As always Dee will go to work to make it happen, and that is just what we did - as we enjoyed food and mojitos - we broadcast the show from about 4pm-6pm until we lost our internet connection.
